The Mysterious Origins of Man

'The Mysterious Origins of Man' investigates the history of our species, from creationism and Religious Doctrine to Charles Dawrin's The Origin of Species and evolutionary theory. This documentary compares the conventionally accepted theories of evolution with today's advanced theories being developed by modern archeologists and research-scientists that believe there, "is evidence of a technologically advanced culture that existed before recorded history began." Many controversial artifacts have been found in the last 100 years that strongly question our origins as a species. Dr. Richard L. Thompson, co-author of Forbidden Archeology, discusses the elimination of his public efforts by what he explains to be a knowledge-filter, "This a fundamental feature of science. Its also a fundamental feature of human nature. People tend to 'filter out' things that don't fit; that don't make sense in terms of their paradigm, or their way of thinking."

"Darwin's theory of evolution proposes that simple life forms or species evolved into more complex species by accidental changes over long periods of time. For example, given 5 million years, an ape can evolve into a man." This theory is almost universally accepted and has become essential to our understanding of how man came into existence. However, current alternative archeologists and scientists using radiometric dating and seismic surveying, have uncovered evidence that supports new theory, "numerous artifacts indicate to some scientists, that man could be millions of years old."

The Mysterious Origins of Man also considers one of the most controversial and 'oldest' cases in history, the ancient city of Tiahunaco. Possibly the, "oldest city known on the face of the earth," Tiahunaco was evidently constructed, "with astronomical alignments in mind." And like many other Megalithic Architectural sites, the accessible ruins of our past have led many educated scholars to question the foundations of our society. "The antiquity and the technological sophistication of Tiahunaco should make each and every one of us fully question the origins of civilization."
