Lost Worlds - Vanished Lives
Submitted by Kelly Clayton on May 28, 2009 - 5:29pmLost Worlds - Vanished Lives is a documentary by David Attenborough. "Animals and plants flourished on this earth for millions of years, before human beings appeared on it. And the direct evidence of that comes from one source only, from their remains that can be found in rocks, from fossils. Some are spectacular and dramatic, complete skeletons of huge reptiles. Others are the merest trace of imprints, left by such insubstantial creatures as jellyfish. Many are the remains of creatures quite unlike any that exist today, and fossils can be found all around us, if we know where to look."

The Venus Project
The Venus Project shows how, "Monetary-ism, so to speak, is the true mechanism that guides the interests of all the countries on the planet. The most aggressive, and hence the most dominant variation of this monetary-ism is the, free enterprise system. The fundamental perspective, as put forth by early free market economists, like Adam Smith, is that self interest and competition leads to social prosperity, as the act of competition creates incentive, which motivates people to persevere...".
"Governments try to perpetuate that which keeps them in power. People are not elected to political office to change things. They are put there to keep things the way they are. So you see, the basis of corruption is in our society. Let me make it clear, all nations are basically corrupt, cause they tend to uphold existing institutions. I don't mean to uphold or down grade all nations, but communism, socialism, fascism, the free enterprise system, and all other sub-cultures, are the same. They all are basically corrupt." - Jacque Fresco

This documentary provides informational evidence showing us that "60 million years ago an asteroid slammed into mars and propelled a two kilogram rock into space. Amazingly that rock sailed to earth and came to rest in Antarctica. Inside NASA scientists, David Mckay and Everett Gibson, were amazed to find the outlines of fossils."
"The environment in Eurpoa's (Jupiter's smallest moon) ocean is more or less as nice as the environment in our own ocean, as a placing for living things to exist. Heck things from planet earth could probably live in the Eurpoan ocean." - Dr. Clark R. Chapman
Brad Lancaster - Profile
Submitted by SB Vegan on January 8, 2009 - 4:24pm"Since 1993 I’ve run a successful permaculture consulting, design, and education business focused on integrated and sustainable approaches to landscape design, planning, and living. And as I live in the dryland environment, rainwater harvesting has long been one my specialties and a passion... This harvested water is then turned into living air conditioners of food-bearing shade trees, abundant gardens, and a thriving landscape incorporating wildlife habitat, beauty, edible and medicinal plants, and more." -Brad Lancaster
Brad Lancaster is the founder of harvestingrainwater.com, a connoisseur of rainwater applications, and an advocate of sustainable agriculture and an efficiently conservative lifestyle. An author of three books Brad wishes to share his knowledge to the world and apply the natural convenience of rainwater to all aspect of society.
"I believe we all can become beneficial stewards of the land, and partners in the ecosystem in which we live, and I believe that by sustainably harvesting rainwater we can all begin to transform our households from consumers of resources to producers of resources. Drawing on my years of teaching, consulting, designing, on-the-ground implementation, and learning from others, I offer readers my clear and simple process to assess and design their own water harvesting landscapes." -Brad Lancaster
