Graham Hancock's areas of interest are ancient mysteries, stone monuments or megaliths, ancient myths and astronomical/astrological data from the past. One of the main themes running through much of his work is the possible global connection with a 'mother culture' from which he believes all ancient historical civilizations sprang. Born in Edinburgh, Scotland, Graham Hancock's early years were spent in India, where his father worked as a surgeon. Graduating from Durham University in 1973 with First Class Honours in Sociology, Hancock went on to pursue a career journalism, writing for many of Britain's leading newspapers including The Times, The Sunday Times, The Independent, and The Guardian. He was co-editor of New Internationalist magazine from 1976-1979 and East Africa correspondent of The Economist from 1981-1983.
With bestselling books in over 27 languages. With three number one best selling books ; The Sign and The Seal, Fingerprints of the Gods and Heaven's Mirror, he has sold more than five million copies worldwide. With a 3 hour television series “Quest for the Lost Civilization”.
